Not a real recipe but someday I imagine my grown up kids wondering " what was that weird sausage thing that Mom used to get giddy about?" It's this.

Ingredients
Proper Irish Bangers
6 potatoes (the starchier, the better)
1 Box of Bisto gravy
1 small onion
Directions
Call in sick/ Bribe someone to pick up the kids, and prepare to risk life and limb to make it through the route 20/ Soldiers Field Road / Parsons st roundabout to get to Kiki's market in Brighton to stock up on ALL the Irish groceries.
Once you come down from the Cadbury's/lucozade induced sugar high grab the peeler and start working on some mashed potatoes.
Sear the life out of those Bangers on the grill pan and then pop them into a warmed oven while you saute the onion whip up some proper Bisto gravy.
Plate it and start working on that food coma (probably a good thing I only get to Kiki's twice a year).
