Summer 2014 - Success & Failure
Couldn't find the yellow hanging begonias this year so I decided to try something else - Epic Fail!! This year's baskets are Ok but nothing like last years. From now on, it'll be yellow hanging begonias or bust.
I did pick up some white waxy leave ones for the new front planters and they are doing really well - will definitely use them a gain next year. They are the best value for the price when you by them by the tray.
Also tried our usual pink waxy leaf ones by the gate on the shady side of the house, wasn't sure how they'd do in that light but, as usual, they kicked ass! Love those little flowers - beautiful color all summer with very little care.
Summer 2013 - Hanging Baskets Baby!!
📷Could not be happier with these in our hanging baskets. I choose them because of the gorgeous buttery yellow color but now love them because of their hardiness - these things are thriving with very little care and all three baskets are doing well even though 2 are in shade and 1 is in direct sun. Awesome!
Summer 2012 - The Little Plant That Could...
📷So I picked up a tray of these Wax Begonias on a whim, and also because they were extremely reasonably priced and have been completely amazed at their tolerance for, well, everything.
📷📷These things flowered all season, were perfectly happy in blinding sun, dappled shade and everything in between. They were over watered at times, starved at times and didn't even succumb to our killer rabbits or the chipmunks who tend to dig up everything.
I will definitely be using these guys more next season.
