Canadian Hemlock (Tsuga canadensis)

We've got a shady strip of 13 Hemlocks along the southern property line, the ground drops down below the retaining wall making it dark and wet and difficult to grow anything here - but w're up for the challenge. The hemlocks were in bad shape when we moved in but Mike found a company that would come out and tackle their many infestations and now they are doing much, much better.  I do want to clear out that space and do something creative with it but this has proved to be too much of an undertaking last summer (pregnant). Maybe this is the year this will finally get done.... 📷
